• Delivery of rail Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) assessments (FMECA, RBD) and reports
• Peer review / independent review of rail safety assurance deliverables and processes
• Development of safety and RAM specifications
• Development of accreditation strategies and plans
• Development of specifications and demonstration of Functional Safety (Safety Integrity Level) 
• Functional Safety Assessment (certification) predominantly against AS 61508.1 - 2011

Our services are offered for both rolling stock and infrastructure. We have in-depth experience and understanding of the governing standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, AS 61508), guidelines (ONRSR Major Projects Guideline, RISSB Systems Safety Assurance Guideline) and legislation (Rail Safety National Law).

Importantly, while there are a number of service providers in Australia with experience in safety assurance, very few suppliers have the depth of knowledge and experience that Mage Consulting has when it comes to safety-critical, complex, technical systems. Our consultants have extensive experience delivering some of the most complex systems in the Australian rail industry, including:
